H&L Construction Mozambique, started this island-based project commenced in October 2014 with an ambitious 8 month completion deadline. The lodge successfully re-opened, on schedule, in July of 2015 to much commercial acclaim. Shortly after reopening it was awarded the coveted Conde Naste’s award for best lodge in Africa.

EXTENSIVE RENOVATION & REBUILD FOR ONE OF AFRICA'S LEADING LUXURY TRAVEL BRANDS.
During a tight timeframe, H&L successfully completed the extensive rebuild of the entire lodge and infrastructure as well as adding in large scale new development. The main challenges of this project were the operationally based time frame compounded by the complex logistics of building on a remote island where delivery of materials are contingent on tides and the use of local sail boats.
