DIRECTOR
NHD Civil Engineer
Graduated as a civil engineer in 1984 and subsequently worked for Concor and later with Steeldale Reinforcing in South Africa. As a founding partner of H&L, Roger has been based in Mozambique since 1989. He is a remote project specialist and manages logistics and procurement aspects throughout the country.
DIRECTOR
Pr. Eng, Bsc (Eng), MSAIEE
Graduated as an engineer from UCT in 1981 and worked for years at AECI and later at the Pepkor group. Since co-founding H&L in 1989 John has been the company manager & project specialist. Over the past 25+ years, John has acquired invaluable expertise in the legal, financial and investment aspects of building and project development in Mozambique. John’s specialised skill set drives H&L as well as client projects forward with clarity of vision and accuracy in delivery.
DIRECTOR
Originally from Zimbabwe, Scott is the newest director to join H&L. Scott specialised in joinery, furniture, carpentry & shop-fitting in Zimbabwe which lead him to Mozambique 12 years ago where he has continued to specialize in these areas while also taking on entrepenuership and leadership in construction, operations and project management.
ADMINISTRATION Originally from South Africa, Helizel has been based in Mozambique since 2010. As the accounts control officer and administrative manager, Helizel ensures cost controls and client accounting are rigorously maintained and compliant with all legal and financial requirements.
ADMINISTRATION
As the Office Administrator, Catherine ensures that all cost controls, cash flow, and labour relations systems are maintained in the Maputo branch. Catherine manages the receipt, control and sales of all Cemcrete Products to varies projects and clients in Mozambique. Originally from South Africa, she has been based here since 2010.
SITE MANAGER
Originally from Zimbabwe, Nelson comes with a lifetime of experience in the building trade. Part of H&L for over a decade, he is a true team leader, effectively managing sites of all sizes and specifications, on time and within budget. Nelson has an eye for detail and together with his teams, produces exceptional quality.
JOINERY MANAGER
With over 25 years of experience in shop fitting and Joinery, Eddie and his team of master craftsmen are an essential part of the H&L brand. From custom furniture, shop fitting and carved feature doors, the H&L joinery team delivers world class, top quality products.
