The Bazaruto Centre for Scientific Studies (B.C.S.S.) has been designed to be completely self-sufficient with off-the-grid systems that include a solar plant. Locally- sourced natural materials were used for the construction. The centre houses both permanent staff and visiting members of the international scientific community.
